We are beginning to analyze the data from our technology survey and wanted to release a few select findings. It seems that many of the results are almost split down the middle when it comes to users and technology.
Sadly, the numbers do show many of us have become addicted to our cell phones, with 40% reporting anxiety when their phone dies and no charger can be found. This is likely due to the feeling of being completely cut off from the world as we currently know it. You might just miss your friends Snapchat from the grocery store!
Here’s a trend that is causing the cable companies to tremble in their boots. 39% of respondents reported ditching cable television for digital streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. We predict this number will increase exponentially over the next few years.
We are all becoming reliant on Google for the answer to all our burning questions. 70% reported ALWAYS turning to Google when they don’t know something. The good news is that we are becoming a much more “in-the-know” society. The bad news is you will literally never know everything there is to know!
We can’t believe 64% of people are still using a computer with a CD-ROM drive! Come on guys, you’re streaming television but you still burn mixed CD’s?
More to come from our consumer technology survey.
